Blogathon 2015 #Day31 - yeye.. 31st post :)

So we have finally reached the 31st post... Pat your backs all fellow bloggers for making it!!!
Feeling strange typing from my smart phone.. Sometimes auto-correct corrects me, sometimes I correct auto-correct!! It's been a busy Saturday... Cleaning the kitchen and washing clothes.. I also cleaned my wardrobe and the dressing table.. Will be on holiday for my cousin's wedding for ten days starting the 6th of Feb.. Tried my traditional wear to make sure I fit in!! And thankfully I do!!
Guess what occupied the most space in my dressing table's drawer... My nail paints... I have 18 of them...
The hubby said I should be proud... Of holding such a record :p If only guys would understand, we couldn't ever have enough  nail paints in all shades just like we couldn't have enough clothes ....
Happy week end!!

Blogathon 2015 #Day30 - Epic cookie baking fail!

I am an ok cook! I bake sometimes, and the results till last night were pretty good.. And then came the epic cookie baking disaster!!
To start with, I tumbled upon a 3-ingredient cookie recipe... which looked good :)
1 egg, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup peanut butter... mix well.. bake for 12 minutes and awesome cookies ready!
courtesy www.google.com
The baker had beautifully explained how to use a fork to make that texture on the cookies...
I went home all excited and happy hoping to surprise the hubby and the BIL with yummy cookies...
Got all the ingredients ready , not that there was much to do! Put on my apron and set the oven to pre-heat at 180 degrees..
courtesy www.google.com

While the egg was beaten nicely and became fluffy I added the sugar... No matter how much I mixed them, the sugar did not mix properly, I could see the grains in the fluffy egg... nevertheless I added the peanut butter... After some more whisking and mixing, I was expecting a dough, not exactly the flour dough but on similar lines, but this mixture was just semi solid... tasted yumm.. but I wasn't sure about the texture and thickness... I kept my calm and just carried on...
courtesy www.google.com
The sugar granules were still visible :( I took out my baking mould.. which was too small and heart shaped, I could place batter barely for three cookies in it and no matter what I did, the fork pattern did not appear as the batter wasn't thick enough.. 10 minutes later and this was what I got... epic fail!
courtesy www.google.com
Cheesy goeey hardened mushy peanut butter pieces... with sugar granules.. very very sweet and not at all the intended cookies!!
Nailed it!!

I also made some red sauce pasta and that turned out really yummy.... :)

Blogathon 2015 #Day29 - The one where the hubby developed devilish horns!

The hubby had to go to office for some reasons 8ish last evening. We decided to go together, I would wait for him in the car and then we'd go grocery shopping. We were both in our comfortable T-shirts and shorts. As he had to go inside office, he changed into his PJ's and told me to change too.. I reasoned out with him that I was anyways going to sit in the car and wouldn't bother to change for visiting the grocery store. But he insisted. I was wearing a sunshine yellow t-shirt with a sweet pink bordered neck and a pink shorts with yellow lines and they were looking great together.. a combination I love. The t-shirt has a matching PJ which I don't like wearing.. A couple of washes and it had shrunk, so now its ankle length and looks weird... not world weird, but Deepika weird..  I don't wear it.. even though every body else thinks it looks good! But the hubby insisted and I agreed. When we were walking down the stairs, he made a serious face and said we needed to talk! Like needed to talk! The very sentence scared me... I asked him what it was about and he said he'd tell once we're in the car.. Before the car wheels could move, my mind wheels went round and round and sped at non-stoppable speeds! As soon as I got in the car, I coerced him to tell me.. but he didn't. When we were a mile away from the house, the devil grinned ear to ear and told me the shorts were looking way better! So, this was the TALK!! And coz he was in his boring PJ's he thought it better I accompany him.. and so the ruckus on the shorts being too short and the PJ's looking better and me catching a cold as I was wearing shorts!!! And then he had a hearty laugh while I looked at him amused and unable to answer!!
Thanks to my imagination, I could actually see him in a red dress, white horns and a long tail :P
Angel wife, devil husband!!

I compromised on the color and length and I guess the design too, I wanted them to be ankle length and with a bow, but nevertheless I ordered them online :) Waiting !!

Blogathon 2015 #Day26 - Happy Republic Day!

We celebrated the 66th Republic day on the 26th of January 2015.. Happy Republic Day folks!
When the Indian Tricolor unfurls, my heart fills with a feeling beyond explanation.. I feel owed by my country... my hand raises in a salute with respect.. the words and tune of Jana-Gana-Mana cleanses the soul :)
While in school, I'd rush early morning in my white uniform and freshly polished white canvas shoes. I was always on stage, anchoring the program or being a part of the prayers. This day gave me the opportunity to be really close to the flag and my heart would fill with pride. Come home and we'd watch the parade! Oh what a life!
This time, I saw the parade on the T.V. and it bought back memories... felt good!
Happy Republic Day!

Blogathon 2015 #Day25 - Why would you stalk someone like that?

I was talking to acquaintance[Let's call them A] and after this incidence I don't think I'd like to call them that even or even be remotely related to them... It was a normal conversation which went bad, really bad!
A was asking if something was really wrong with him, as had had no luck making girlfriends. Given that he is doing his Masters, I just suggested he studied first, all this can follow..To describe A, he has a personality not falling even 1% in the category I'd look forward to in my boy friend.. but then to each her own! I was enjoying my coffee and wasn't really looking forward to a conversation on the same topic but A had a lot to talk about. He asked me if I'd blocked somebody on Watsapp or Facebook, I hadn't. He asked me if I would do that, I told him it would depend.. and then began his story..
Now A is in a group of 4 people including him paired together for their assignments. The group has a single female, let's call her AF. Now A was drawn towards AF. He describes her as not so beautiful, but good for a relationship! This very line made me mad... what do you mean by not beautiful but good for a relationship.. so you mean you don't get married to her but be in a relationship just for the sake of. I was aghast and told him that I get angry at such thoughts and wouldn't want to hear anymore but there was no stopping to him. And then he related the following. I'd let my comments be for now and just write what he said. He said he wanted to take her out for coffee, but she din't agree. After multiple times of asking her out, he finally resorted to stupid means. He picked up her book without her knowledge and texted her about the same when she was about to reach her hostel. Not having a choice, she accepted his suggestion that he'd come over and give her the book, which he did and forced her again to go out on a coffee date with him. She did not and he felt bad. He said she'd dress up nicely FOR HIM [*huh*] and try stealing a glance, so he took it as a positive signal and asked her out for coffee again. She was angry and told him not to stalk her. He gave up his pursuit but one fine day handed her some work related books and kept a coffee sachet inside with a note for her! He told me he wanted to have coffee with her, and this way he had finally won! like won!! huh! When she did not respond to this stupidity, he took it as a positive signal and started coercing her again to meet.. She told him never to talk or meet except when their assignments were concerned. And his evil empty mind got her a gift, thinking that would make her happy and she'd give up! Just like he had picked up her notebook, he picked up her handbag, planning to give it back to her over coffee and giving the gift along. But as with any other person not finding their bag, AF raised an alert. She was too distressed and when A came to know about this, he knew he had made a mistake. He took out all the items from her purse, put them in a carry bag and called her to tell he got the purse near the dust bin. He gave it back to her and she asked if he was the one who took her bag. Angry A shouted at her, called himself a Samaritan who helped and told her not to talk if she thought so. AF immediately blocked him every where possible. Not content, A continued writing to her on the common group and sent her a hand sketched pic of hers on the group. Dismayed, she unblocked him and told him not to continue this. He told her he had something from her purse which he needed to hand over to her. He gave her the gift, but she did not respond back. She did not respond back again and A is still thinking it over. He wants to know what went wrong.

Huh! by this time I'd had enough! AF was still fine on not doing anything but just blocking him. Had it been me, I would have punched him in the face right there... he also said that she dressed beautifully for him and craved for his attention... I dress beautiful everyday and just for myself A, not for any one else... I am sad I every knew A, I wouldn't want to... Its scary and disturbing!!

Blogathon 2015 #Day24 - Shopping soiree with mom!

Shopping day... Saturday!!
My first cousin is getting married this Valentines day.. and marriages call for shopping.. loads of shopping...
Mom and I started shopping early Saturday morning and spent the complete day shopping... We bought an awesome royal blue saree for Mom which has a pale golden blouse.. The saree is beautiful and is something I'd love to wear too... While we were looking for sarees, Mom, being the typical Indian mom asked me why I wasn't wearing my mangalsutra, sindoor and bindi. I told here that one of the strings of the mangalsutra broke and I din't want to take a risk. As for the sindoor, I had forgotten and the bindi... I din't wear one with western wear... Her typical self, Mom said about how westernization had affected me!! And at that very moment, the sales girl asked mom if I as her daughter in law... I couldn't control my laughter... Just to make a point, I wear the Punjabi chuda on both my hands and it is proof enough I am married...
After the saree shopping we got some amazing footwear at a whooping 50% flat discount! We had a quick lunch and continued our shopping. We bought a wallet, a hand bag and another pair of sandals to go with her saree from Mochi, and all this too at a 50% discount! Oh! the pleasures of sale shopping when not many people are in the store! Mom tried some anarkali suits at Pantaloons, but we couldn't make up our minds and it was 8pm already, so we grabbed the best of the lot and soon called it a day! I was yearning for some coffee and so was mom.. so we headed to the nearest CCD, had our sips of latte and headed home...

A day awesomely spent with mom!!

Blogathon 2015 #Day23 - Food Food!!

If you know me, you'd know I love eating! But my tummy can only take so much... So when I'd hangry [read angry when hungry],hubby would take me to a food joint and I'd be satisfied in less than half the portion he'd order .... but this post is not about me...

We were all single ready to mingle... and mingle we did... The group which included a couple with their baby and all single people became a group which included a couple and newly marrieds! All of us got married to our partners over a period of three months and then started the home parties. Till then we'd hangout at food joints, dance at pubs and had pyjama parties.. now we have awesome home parties which start in the evening and end at dawn. And now that we know that the way to man's stomach is through their stomach, everybody tries their best to gear up and cook some nice food.
The last party made us munch on some very very yummy English food.. Bread loaves with baked beans being the talk of the town and then there was chicken, paneer capsicum, potato cutlets and Russian salad, and a yummy fruit salad for our taste buds.. and all this home made!! Don't know how much time the couple must have spent getting all this together and then assembling it on the dinning table before we hogged in! The mayonnaise for the salad was also home made and was very tasty...

Now we have decided that we'd try different cuisines and not just stick to Indian food. Come March, and we'll be celebrating Hubby's birthday... Please suggest guys... what cuisine should I try... something which is tasty, medium on the scale of difficulty to prepare and ingredients available in Pune!!

Blogathon2015 #Day21 - Congratulations, it's a baby girl!!

When I was born, I am told, Dad was so happy he treated the entire hospital. The nurses were surprised and one of them even went ahead and told mom that it's the first time someone had distributed sweets on the birth of a daughter. It sometimes pinches me real hard, but then thinking about Mom and Dad, it gives me infinite happiness. When my baby brother was born, I don't think anything changed in my life. He brought happiness to us and that is it. I was never ignored, overlooked or less loved. On the contrary there have been incidences when I was giving priority over him, like getting the larger piece of chocolate, but given the good girl I am, I'd gladly share it with him! So, we never felt any difference. When we grew up, the rules were same for us. The family never made me realize that I was a girl and believe me I feel blessed!
I have a friend who has a 2 year old girl child and is not planning another kid. She is happy with her baby and says the gender doesn't matter to her and I stand by her. Recently her sister in law had a baby boy, she was happy for them and celebrated and cared equally. Little was she prepared for what came next. She said suddenly all festivals became merrier, more people invited over, new clothes for the complete family and what not. The same wasn't followed when her baby was born. This made her sad.. She said the difference was there. She is a working mom and stays with her in-laws. She was told to leave her job or drop her baby to her mother's place as the in-laws were aged and couldn't take care of the baby. But with the new born baby things have changed. They gladly take care of their grandson. They are educated people but I am really surprised why the behavior change!
Another friend of mine has an aunt who has two daughters. One of them is preparing for her 12th boards and the other is in 7th. The aunt is pressurized by her family to try for another baby! Like seriously, at this age! I had been out with her for coffee once and she shared how every time she is being mocked at for not giving birth to a baby boy. The lady is a green card holder and the in-laws have stayed in The States and enjoyed respectable job profiles, so then why the baby boy requirement?
Such incidences are eye openers. Will our society ever accept girls as equals to boys?

Blogathon2015 #Day20 - Stupid

Stupid person... leading to a stupid post

Every twenty minutes and the chair is pushed behind, the screeching itching my ears.
A 180 degree rotation and he gets up. Moving to the guy just behind me, he stares at my machine.
I instantly press Windows + D, showing him my desktop.. with the wallpaper screaming , "Mind your own business". But that doesn't alter his intentions and he keeps staring. I sometimes stand up and ask if he has any business and he gives me a crooked smile.. If I don't he'd continue looking till he actually has to look away...

Stupid guy, I guess doesn't have any work of his own. Not very long back, he told me I wasn't supposed to play games on my cell phone and I asked him how did he know I played games.. To which he replied the senior manager told him. Now the senior manager comes to this branch like once in a fortnight and I guess he has no work but to stare in my cell phone! Wowie.. see how popular I am! The next time he stares, I am gonna tell him this is my PERSONAL computer and by PERSONAL, I do not give him any rights to peep in without my permission. Totally pissed off...

Have you had a manager like this?

Blogathon2015 #Day19 - Song playing non-stop in my play list..

Did I say play list... no it is not, it is just this one song I have been hearing non stop...
Chittiyaan kalaiyaan from the movie Roy...
Have you heard the song? If not, do it right now.. like just now...
The video is equally nice and a must watch :)

Blogathon2015 #Day18 - Happiness is

Blogathon2015 #Day16 - Questions!

Who created religion?
When did Ram decide He is a Hindu and Christ decide He is a Christian?
When we are born, do we know which caste would we belong to?
Why is love not enough?
Why can a Hindu not marry a Muslim?
Why are families ashamed if their children go for an inter caste marriage?
Why do honor killings happen when all a couple did was get married not thinking about each other's caste, creed and religion?
Why do learned people behave like uneducated?
How does it matter what caste I am when you are reading my blog here?
How does my color matter?
How does it matter where I was born and whom I am married too?
How does it change anything in the world?
Can't humanity be my caste and kindness be my God?
Can't love be my faith?
Why divide on the name of religion and color?

Feeling sad :(
A friend of mine loves a guy from another caste and her parents are treating her real bad. Her elder brother whom she trusts and loves hit her real hard. She misses office sometimes and her cell is also with him most of the times. She is made to do all house hold chores, cooks lunch and dinner with the office work. I haven't seen her smile for ages now :( We meet , I try cheering her up, but there's only so much I can do!

Blogathon2015 #Day15 - Mummifying!

The title doesn't seem apt but because I cannot think of anything else, I'll let it be!
More than a year back I got married... I made a wedding site and was proud of the outcome. The instructions read that the site would be hosted for free and will be taken off in a month, but that didn't happen. I was thinking of saving the pages, so I could see them whenever it is taken down! And what better than my blog to treasure them! So here I am, mummifying the pages of my marriage site!

This is the first page.. The photo of one of our visits to CCD! Thank God for coffee!! If not, we wouldn't have been together :)
And thanks God for CCD!

And this page is about our journey from you , me to "we"
And these were the dates marked for our big day!

There was a page with the "Wedding Card" details!

And yet another page, where some of the nicest people left us some very nice comments! I'll let that page be and not mummify it....

Did you make a wedding site ?? Show me yours!!

Blogathon2015 #Day14 - Rant+Poem=Roem!

Give me a paint brush and colors,
Let me paint the town!

Give me some glitter,
Let there be some shine!

Give me a pen and a paper,
Let me write down a poem,
Or may be a song, perhaps a duet!

Give me a guitar,
Let me play some chords!

Give me some ribbons,
Let me tie some bows!

Give me wings,
Let me fly!

Give me a heart,
Let it beat!

Give me feet,
Let me walk!

Give me freedom,
Let me be free!

Let me wander, let me get lost.
Let me smell the flowers,
Let me feel the thorns…

Let me light a candle,
Let there be light!

I don’t associate red with anger,
Blue doesn’t signify a low.
Black is not for mourning and white doesn’t show pain either!
I love all the colors and I love them all equally…

You are no one to decide, no one to think who I am!
Yes I wear denims with a short top
And yes I love them too..
And no I wouldn’t change
Even if you asked me too!
I have a short dress,
But believe me its’ longer than the longest thought you have!

Yes I love dancing
And to pubs I do go.
So what if I drink or not,
You are no one to know!

Yes I straightened my hair
And yes I wear them with pride..
And keep guessing my hair color..
You wouldn’t ever know!

And just because I do what I can,
Doesn’t give you the rights to decide!
Let me be a mystery to you,
I’ll let you envy me…
Be jealous, talk behind my back…
I may get hurt once a while
But I’ll learn not giving a damn!
I am no slut, just because you think I am!
I am what I am and I am way better that what you are…

Blogathon2015 #Day13 - The Femina Blunder!

I am a Femina lover... The magazine is a cool read and the goodies make me happy.. Each visit to any book store and the magazine would scream out to me, TAKE-ME-HOME and I always did. Spent the first few minutes digesting the images and then spent the next few days reading the articles, eagerly waiting for the next edition to be published. I subscribed for a year's subscription of the magazine and the status showed I'd get the 15th Dec edition. To my horror and dismay the magazine came on January the 6th.. after a series of phone calls and emails and complaints. I haven't received the 29th Dec issue and the Jan issue came yesterday.. this after another series of phone calls and complaints.. The customer care number is never answered... like never , even after being kept on hold for 15 minutes. Call in the morning and the peon answers, once in 10 days saying no body has come to office yet. Call after that and no one receives or if some one does, they'd say its lunch time. Call anytime post lunch and all you get is the ring tone. And call 6ish, the office is closed... Femina was all about empowering women... but this is total dismay... I want to cancel the subscription now, but don't know whom to and how to contact... Feeling sad :(

Blogathon2015 #Day12 - And this is how I write a post!

A bullet point post ahead on what happens when it is my EOD time in office and I haven't yet written a blog post and I know I won't be able to write one after reaching home -
1. Check the time
2. Open blog and click on new post
3. Scratch my head for a topic to write something about
4. Scratch some more and realize scratching doesn't help
5. Think about all the posts and articles read since morning, check feedly for new posts
6. Let realization dawn in that I cannot write anything even matching what fellow bloggers have written
7. Think about giving up blogging and close the window
8. Reopen the window with a strong determination to write
9. Check cell phone gallery for anything to be added as a picture post.. Rule out all the options
10. Think about the atrocities in the world , but find no words to write them down
11. Think about what I ate and the sucking feeling after that and decide not to rant about food    @office
12. Promise myself to get tiffin from tomorrow
13. Check the time and realize I have already wasted my precious blogging time
14. Start updating my daily status and writing work emails
15. Remember the pain in blogging via cell phone
16. Return back to blogger
17. Write the post title and start writing a post and realize I have nothing to write about it
18. Reply to gurlies on hangout
19. Talk to hubby on the phone as to when he'd leave
20. Then finally 5 minutes before leaving office and running down 5 floors to catch the bus, quickly jotting down a bullet point post which is a total waste of time... Hehehe feel like writing and humming to "Love is a waste of time, ee to hai waste of time" from the movie PK!!

Bbbye people!!
Happy blogging... 12 days done already :)

Blogathon2015 Day #11 Saturday eve..

Not everyday does hubby take you out for a yummy paneer butter masala - tandoori roti lunch and then on a coffee date to Starbucks!! The coffee was tasty and the choco chip muffin was out of the world... We sat in silence just absorbing the ambience , trying to find peace in the hurried journey of life..

And the evening didn't stop there.. We headed to Lifestyle - the shopping mall and purchased tee's for him and a sweet grey veromoda net shrug for me... An evening well spent...  Back home we munched on aloo paranthas and cuddled up in front of the television...
How was your Saturday??? Weekend ending... Already feeling the Monday blues!!

Blogathon2015 - Day9 - The Birthday Post

9-1-91 :)
24 years ago on this day, kiddo came into this world to..
Tear my books when I'd study...
Cry out loud to become the center of attention..
Make puppy faces so that Mom and Dad would leave all chores and return to him..
Always eat the maggi out of my bowl coz it always looked more than the quantity in his...
Always snatch the apple off my hands coz it was always tastier than what he had...
The chronicles are innumerable...

We have had our share of fights, we have had our share of tears..
We fought, we made up
We cried, we laughed
We cooked together and at times had to throw away the preparation and order something to eat...
Life wouldn't have been this good without you..
Love you kiddo!
Happy Birthday to my baby brother... though 24 looks big but for me you'd always be my kiddo brother :)
Stay blessed!

Blogathon2015 - Day8 - Lil' Pleasures of life

A cuppa coffee,
A book to read.
This is all I want,
This is all I need.
Don't make me ask,
Don't make me plead.
I need no more,
I have no greed.
Makes me feel loved,
Makes me feel freed..
A cuppa coffee and a book to read!

Blogathon2015 - Day7 - Irony!!

Such is the irony of life!!
Had been to the Crossword Store.. they had a section dedicated to Nicholas Sparks..
I have seen the movie "A walk to remember" and am a fan of the movie..
The other novels seem to call out to me.. "Take us home" they said :)
I made a mental note of exploring the multiple novels and buy the best one and not stop till I had all...

Next morning, the news read "Nicholas Sparks Marriage of 25 years ends into divorce"...
How sad is that!! Such is the irony of life!
Am searching for love in his novels... and he is separating from his love..
huh :(
Feeling sad...
Have you guys read his novels?

Blogathon2015 - Day6 - GOA & PASTA

Our first wedding anniversary took us to Goa, a separate post about all the fun we had there.. but what needs to be mentioned first and foremost is the PASTA!!
We reached Goa on our anniversary and planned to spend the evening at Tito's but the place was overstuffed as usual and so we ended up at Mambo's.. two of the most happening pubs @Baga beach , Goa! The music was nice and so were the starters, but what we were looking for was some silence. So, we headed to the nearest beach shack... We sat facing the waters ,hearing the waves soothe our souls.. The waves play this magic on me... Feels lost as well as happy at the same time :) We weren't very hungry and the hubby asked me to order... and much to his horror I ordered the White Sauce Pasta... something I love... Later we started regretting if it was a good choice to order at the Shack... but the order had been placed till then! The ambience was nice, the candle light and the cozy seating made it all the more romantic... But the best part is yet to come... the PASTA!!
OMG! It was the tastiest pasta I have ever tasted :) It was cheesy goey yummy... awesome :)

I loved it so much that I dragged hubby to the same place for dinner the next night too and for lunch a day later :P Yes!! That's the effect it had on me!! And its been more than a month now and the hubby hasn't agreed to an Italian night out yet!!
Cutting this post short... should go and eat pasta... hungry already :P

Blogathon2015 - Day5 - The End...

She ran to the bathroom..
Unable to contain her tears and with a heavy heart, she opened the bottle of phenyl in front of her!
She din't know if she wanted him to come and stop her..
She gulped down the complete liquid..
Had it been a glass of alcohol.. he would have teased her and asked her... "Bottoms up ehh?"
She laughed as the thoughts brought back memories....
Had it been any other day, she would have been running to catch her office bus, not today she told herself.. She stared in the mirror, unable to identify the person... Is this me? Given the fashion queen, she thought herself to be, she felt ashamed.. she dint wanna die in a plain sweat shirt and her favorite pair of jeans... But then that din't matter anymore did it?
The phenyl had started cleaning up, she was feeling the pain and burn in her stomach and on her lips... She could hear him shout and hurl abuse outside the bathroom.. not that it mattered anymore.. He had told her, she was a MISTAKE in his life... not once but many times.. and this time she din't want to give him a chance to say that again...
Her eyes blurred... Her legs started giving away..
And that was the END!

You'll keep flowers over her dead body now, shouldn't you have gifted her some when she was alive..
May be you'd miss her now, if only you bothered when she was alive..
An empty bed would sometimes make you feel lonely, if only you cared she felt alone too..
You'd look at her blue swollen lips , if only you kissed them when she had yearned for yours!!

Time flies never to come back again..
Say you love them now, take care now, stop and smell the roses with them now.. you never know when it can be the END!

Blogathon2015 - Day4 - Christmas Decoration @Phoenix,Pune

Christmas is one of the festivals I cherish with all my heart.. Having studied in a Convent, singing carols, dressing up for Christmas, eating plum cake and praising the Lord had become a way of life! So, this time the hubby decided to take me to Phoenix mall to enjoy the celebrations! But as Murphy would always have it his way, we had a working day and the roads were too packed for us to go.. Nevertheless, we kept out Christmas spirit alive and visited the mall on the weekend after Christmas... and oh boy!! It was worth the visit and the kilometers!! So if you haven't visited the mall and you are in Pune, its a must go! Posting some of the awesomeness pics...

I am loving the reindeers they made!! And to add up to the awesome atmosphere, we gorged on some "GRAND NACHOS" @ The Brew Pub and donuts and coffee @ Dunkin donuts!! Now that is life!!!

Blogathon2015 - Day3 - My December fab bag!!

I am in love with my November fab bag... The December bag arrived pretty much on the heels of the November one.. And except one product, everything else made me really happy!
Let me write about what I liked first....
The bag is an awesome Red !! given the Christmasy theme.. I also got chocolates in a cute red paper box. Merry Christmas :) There is a lemon grass candle, which is mild and nice.. The smell is relaxing, loved it! Here are the other products -
1. Kronokare cooling and detoxifying massage oils - Haven't used the oils, but given that I had a nice experience with the kronokare products I guess this will be good too..
2. Tattva cherry blossom body butter - The smell is nice.. and the butter is pretty hydrating.. I feel pampered when I use this!
3. Tattva vanilla cinnamon lip scrub - Now this is a one of a kind product, mostly because I haven't used it before.. It actually melts on the lips and scrubs away the dry skin showing an instant difference...
And now for the product I din't like -
The Sea Soul HD finish CC Cream - The smell is not good.. its too strong.. plus I don't really use a CC cream.. so I would have been fine not getting this.. The other December fab bags had awesome red lipstick or emerald eye liners, I would have preferred one of those... but anyways :)
Overall the bag and products are nice... so I am happy!
This is my second fab bag and am expecting my third one soon... January is already here!! Hope this one is nice too so that I subscribe to it again!! :)

Blogathon2015 - Day2 - My November fab bag!!

So when the hubby was clueless as to what he should gift me on our anniversary, I helped him and let him gift me a 3-month subscription of the fab bag!!  For those who don't know, Fab bag is a montly cosmetic subscription.. they send you some awesome products [sample sized] to try in super cute bags... And I was more that happy to get my first bag..
So without much ado... Presenting The NOVEMBER FAB BAG...

Sorry for the poor picture quality... but just look at the awesomeness.. Also am not beauty expert, so all comments are based on my experience...
The golden bag is super cute and I loved it! The hubby decorated the contents ,as you can see in the image and I was so happy :)

Here's what I got in my bag -
1.Gulnar Handmade Mint Lemon grass soap - It is pretty mild and the smell makes me feel real fresh.. I am a fan of hand made soaps and always wanted to try them out at the various Body Shop, Khadi and Fab India stores but never really did.. Now I know, I will!
2.City Color Cheek Stain - This , gurlies, is very very nice! The pink color is cute.. I almost wore it to office for a week and then had to literally stop myself.. The pink color is nice and the stain blends beautifully with the skin :) Am loving it!
3.Wella Enrich Moisturizing Shampoo - When it's Wella, the name speaks for itself.. Just the sample size is so small , that three hair washes and you'd run out of shampoo... but I guess that's what samples are for! The shampoo is nice.. and I wouldn't mind ordering it next I order hair care products
4.Kama Ayurveda Brigandi Oil - Brigandi oil is known for its magical powers... Haven't applied it yet.. The smell is too strong.. But I surely will and post the results!
5.Votre Invigorating Orange Hand and Foot Gel - This is an absolute luxury.. The citrusy smell may not be liked by all.. but the gel is nice... I have been applying it to my hands and feet before sleeping and seeing the difference!
6.All Good Scents Tender - It is a floral combination and is a sweet perfume!

So all in all the products are nice and I loved all of them.. The golden bag is nice too!
I also got the Kronokare Lavender shower gel and body lotion as I had subscribed the 3-month subscription.. Sadly this offer doesn't stand any more... but according to me these products are the best of the lot... The smell is good and long lasting. The lotion is hydrating and the smell keeps lingering day long!

Ye ye!!!
Am happy :)

Blogathon2015 - Day1

Yes go ahead and call me insane... Coz that's what I have been feeling like.. It's day 5 of the Blogathon 2015 and here is a foolish and insane girl writing her day 1 post... But I really gotta start today and now or else I'll never start...

31st December 2014 and 1st January 2015 were nightmarish.. If I could, I would tear them to pieces so small that they wouldn't even be visible under any microscope. Alas! I cannot do that. The best I can do is write...

Life has always been cruel, but the thorns always showed promises of roses so I tread on the path without another thought. I always believed in hearing what the world said but following what my heart said and this is exactly what I did! But see where I am standing now.. in midst of nowhere.. with a broken heart... Gathering all the pieces together and searching for a glue so strong that no matter what I don't ever get a heart break again..

Hope you guys had a better New Year's Eve... Reading your blogs made me feel happy :) Made me remember of those wonderful NYE's when we had fun :) Sitting in front of the T.V. , sometimes only with Doordarshan and relishing the awesome food mom had cooked... and then being dropped into my warm and cozy bed by Dad!! Nothing ever can match those times... The first NYE I spent with the hubby when he wished me a "Happy New Year" infinite number of times :)

Times have been tough this year.. hope they vanish!!
